John Barker mentioned the annual stipend of $75 to Learning in Retirement and the Astronomy Club for the use of the projector. The new computer bought by the Club has a low speed problem. A motion to purchase additional RAM at an approximate cost of $30 was made, seconded and passed. John Sturges attempted to access his home computer remotely from the meeting room, but the connection time was excessive, so the attempt was aborted. One member spoke of being unable to do Windows update. After ruling out the normal settings, it was suggested that a call to Microsoft service might be the way to go. The first call is said to be free. There were 4 Vista users in attendance, and 3 Linux devotees.
